Back to Florida for boat prep

By

A long 24 hours of flying with 3 stops in 3 countries but finally arrived at Orlando Florida to return to the sailboat parked on the ground in the boat yard in Titusville. A few weeks here to prepare the boat for its winter sailing session around Florida and the Bahamas.

Florida is hot with temps around 80 during the day and a bit humid.

Found the boat and it seems like it has weathered the 6 months well.

A busy boat yard now with several boaters working on their boat for this season or just working on them.

Titusville has both a large marina and boat yard.
There is my boat which accessed by the ladder and you can live on it while working on it in the yard. It is a 41 foot beneteau sailing vessel. Now to put it back with equipment and systems tested before sailing for the season.
The yard is filled with people doing boat projects and then there are project boats where some will work on their boat for years getting it ready to sail. All day the yard is humming with sanders and drills and folks replacing systems or masts or rigging.
Boats getting moved back into the water – a lot of action in the yard as I’m preparing my boat for the season

We are just 5 miles the cape Canaveral where space x launches multiple rockets in a day. Last night two rockets woke me up at 1 am and another launch at 4 am. The rocket is a loud rumble and the sky has an orange bright torch object that goes higher into the sky.

View from the boat into the boatyard
Boats around the marina
Lots of water and lots of gators just wandering around. Can you spot the gator in this picture ?
Lots of boats filled with dreams but many don’t finish the projects needed to make them ready and it sits out of the water for years and then back up for sale
