The lack of snow in Pinecrest finally ended on December 24th. I headed back to pinecrest after some family events in the Bay Area to enjoy the cold fluffy white stuff at the cabin. Pinecrest has the full range of seasons from icy snowy winters to warm and dry summers. The snow tends to arrive later and with shorter winters seasons of snow on the ground.

The cabin is 100 years old this year 1925-2025 and it located in a community with most cabins about 100 years old and often in their original configuration like this cabin across the street which was built from a sears catalog back in the 1920’s.
The lake is higher than normal for this time of year but way down from the summer time season of sailing and swimming.
