This island is bigger than I originally thought. Today I grabbed one of the free marina bikes and headed to the north end of the island. After about 6 miles the road pavement ended and followed a dirt road for another mile before it simply ended in a forest. Biking back south I stopped at a few beaches for swimming in clear waters and sand as fine as flour. The beaches were empty having a 2 mile beach to myself.
The night before I was part of that band for the weekly Friday bbq marina playing guitar and piano and vocals with other singers, guitar, bass and uke. We lacked enough amps so the crowd got rowdy and loud once the rum punch was poured. The locals cooked the bbq per your order you placed the day before.
It’s hot and humid at about 86 each afternoon making swimming in the ocean nice.
