Island community

By

This tiny island is filled with amazing warmth, kindness, and community that comes from all of the folks on the island which includes the cruiser, local Bahamians and other vacation home owners and visitors. I can’t walk more than a mile before someone, local Bahamian or vacationers stopped to offer me a ride. I can barely walk from one end of the dock to the other without multiple cruisers greeting me with hi Scott and a 10 minute cconversation about boating and weather windows. A few evening back I offered the piano bar gathering on Allegra and about 30-40 persons showed up for the sing along that spilled out onto dock pier next to the boat. For several songs, we all sang along to piano or guitar with piano man or jimmy buffet and John Denver.

Additional time spent with new found friends with vacation homes and all of their guests as well as other vacation home owners who pick me while hiking the island. The new dingy motor allows for some exploring of new hidden beaches. To help others find the hidden beach near the marina, I crafted a sign and installed it to aid cruisers to find this amazing nearby beach.

Some time for painting and sketching while spending time at this island.
