Off to Europe and beyond for about 3 months for cycling, hiking and trekking . My first first adventure is about 10 days cycling touring around northwest Netherlands. Departed San Francisco Thursday afternoon and arrived Dublin to Amsterdam Friday. Picked up the rental bike and moved the backpacking gear to the bike panniers and off cycle touring north of Amsterdam on Saturday.

Amsterdam was quiet Saturday morning as I grabbed some photos and coffee.

This time while biking I’m using a variety of host connection apps to find free or low costs lodging that connect the cyclist with various hosts.

The apps include warm showers, welcome to my garden and Vrienden op de Fiets-friends of the bike. Each has a different way to find, connect, stay.
