Today was a short hour cycle into the modern city of Rotterdam. Many new, modern, and tall building in this city that was bombed during World War II.

I met up with some friends I had met during the summer that stayed with me at Pinecrest who were hiking the pct. We spent the afternoon exploring Rotterdam and two coffee stops. I parked the bike at Rotterdam central station that maybe has underground covered free parking for 10,000 bikes and another several thousand bikes plus other places where folks park bikes. I got to hear about the history of this city which has an older section of town which was not bombed and newer section with very tall and modern buildings.
