After a very late flight from the Netherlands, I arrived about midnight to my hotel room in Ljubljana stumbling in the dark to find a first the hotel space and then some small lock box with a key for after hours entry.

I woke up the next morning to blue skies and visiting Ljubljana for a few hours before taking the very local bus to the town where where I will start the 270 km

This mountain ski town is surrounded by steep mountains and filled with all sorts of outdoor recreational types hiking and biking and trekking.

About a week into the trail, I have arranged to meet up with Juliana trail organizers to talk about trail angeling on this trail.
