A shorter 17 km hike with little ascent today to reach the very popular international destination of Bled. This town with the lake with the castle island feels like an expense ocean town in Italy or France. It does offer a lot of swimming and boats you can rent and row around or a nice 6 km trail hike around the whole lake.

I decided to hike the lake and thought about swimming but a bit cold this late in the fall.

A nice quiet hike this morning and only saw several locals out for biking or walking on a Sunday morning. Many work in their gardens and tidy yards. Many have vegetable gardens and still getting their summer harvests.
