Madrid Spain

By

It was sad to leave all of hikers that I had met and connected with for the last two weeks in Santiago as we kept running into each other and had a few last meals together in the evening and morning. Early in the day I took a 3 hour train ride to Madrid to catch a flight tomorrow toward New Zealand. Madrid is a very big city. Just getting from the high speed train station to the central old city was a 30 minute packed subway ride with 15 stops. The city center is a lively and busy socializing center. My hotel is located in the theater arts area if town.
